Here's a small sample of fireplaces you'll find at our showrooms:
Direct vent zero clearance fireplaces are designed to vent directly out of an exterior wall or through the roof. Their sealed double pipe venting system makes them very efficient heating units with outside air coming through the outside layer of vent pipe directly into the firebox for combustion and waste gases exiting through the inner pipe. Direct vent fireplaces are usually zero clearance, which means that they can be installed with little or no clearance to combustible materials. Zero clearance fireplaces can be placed almost anywhere in the home. Although they appear permanent, these fireplaces can be easily moved from one room to another with very little effort on the part of the owner. Zero clearance fireplaces are energy efficient up to 70%. These products are low maintenance and require very little attention when it comes to the operational aspects associated with them.
Gas fireplace inserts are used to convert an existing wood burning fireplaces (both pre-fab and masonry) to a sealed gas appliance. They consist of a gas log set installed into a steel or cast-iron heat exchanger and are usually sealed on the front with glass. Many of these units have fans to move the heat, and are also available with remote controls, wall switches or wall-mounted thermostats. These gas inserts are much more efficient than the vented gas logs, and the sealed fronts (glass) provide an extra safety factor. Quality gas inserts can provide BTU outputs ranging from 10,000 to 40,000 BTU and burn at over 80% efficiency.
Free standing fireplaces can be vented into existing chimneys, through the roof with new venting, or out the wall in direct vent fashion. These fireplaces are extremely useful for heating difficult locations such as basements.
Wood Burning Stoves and Inserts are most often installed for their heating characteristics. Almost all models sold today in North America are tested to stringent efficiency and emission standards. Inserts are installed into existing open wood burning fireplaces. Stainless steel liners are installed into the chimney and constrict the venting to help provide a clean, efficient and safe burn. freestanding wood fireplaces use a combination of smoke pipe and insulated A vent for venting.
Zero clearance wood burning fireplaces come in a variety of sizes and configurations including see-through, three-sided and corner models. These manufactured fireplaces, with their metal vent systems, enable the installation of a wood burning fireplace, often at a fraction of the cost of a masonry fireplace. Air-tight units can also be used for primary heating.
Outdoor gas fireplaces come in a broad range of styles and functions, from portable gas "fire pits" you can take camping, to large zero-clearance fireplaces that can be built-in to enhance an outdoor living space. Several of the gas units require no venting, making installation a relatively simple affair.
Outdoor Heaters come in a variety of sizes and configurations such as free standing, portable, handing and built-in. They are available for use with natural gas and propane. Outdoor heaters are used to extend the usage of outdoor space allowing homeowners to enjoy outdoor areas year-round.
Electric fireplaces can be installed with a zero clearance to combustibles. Many electric fireplace models have ready-made mantel enclosures made specifically for them, providing an accessible design and construction solution. Installation of electric fireplaces generally consists of removing the fireplace from the box and plugging into a wall socket. Most units also have a heating component of 1000 to 1500 watts, operating on a control which is separate from the "fire" function.+ As of February 1st, 2008 on approved credit. Subject to change. Did you know?Radiant heat, the latest in 'green' fireplace technology, satisfies human comfort requirements with up to 30% less energy when compared to warm air systems. Like sunshine, radiant energy is efficiently distributed at light speed, converting to heat when it encounters people and objects in the room. - Valor Fireplaces |
